I am looking for some recommendations. I need a keyboard that allows me to Swype, but also has the number keys separate from letters (so that I do not need to long press the letter keys to use a number- I use numbers a lot).

The default Samsung keyboard has this but the Swype feature randomly turns off and will not turn back on.

    Suggestions?

Google Keyboard has a separate row for numbers and allows you to swipe.

Are you sure about that. In mine is not separate and can't figure out where to do that in settings.

Swiftkey has it but I prefer swype on Google keyboard

Swiftkey has everything but if you want to swype... Google is better. My 2 cents

I like TouchPal keyboard. You can add the number keys and has lots of customization. Further more, you can swipe in different languages too

Yes. There's an Android Central piece about which setting to change.

Interesting, I have never had a problem with the Samsung keyboard dropping the Flow/Swype feature on any of my Samsung phones. By the by, the Samsung keyboard uses Swiftkey Flow not Swype, not that makes any difference to your problem.
The reason I prefer the Samsung keyboard is that i allows the user to access the complete clipboard and select what "clip" you wish to insert into a document as well as being specifically tailored to the Samsung phone it is installed on. Now if it would only allow for themes and color changes.

SwiftKey has the feature, but their swiping technology, flow, is garbage. Google keyboard is the best for swiping, when I need numbers I just hit the ?123 key real quick, it's faster than holding
