This weekend I got the Note 5, i was a previous iphone user. I just have a few questions I was hoping I could get help with

    1) When i connect to wifi it consistently has download/upload arrows below it, even when i have no apps running. Is there a way to limit downloads, so when i'm not connected to wifi it wont eat my data

    2) I set my email to manual sync, is this the same as the fetch option on iphone.

    3) is there a way to turn off apps updating if not being used. On iphone they could not refresh an app unless you where using it.

    4) can you set it so apps can only upgrade when connecting to wifi

    5) any other tips/tricks to save data consumption or battery life

Settings, data usage, limit data. That's a good way to limit data so you don't go over

Also if you go to settings, data, then hit more, you can limit background data

Go to the play store and in the setting, set apps to update using WiFi only.

I'm not sure what fetch is on iPhone.

I'm not sure what you mean by #3.

I think number 3 he means he doesnt want the app to sync until he opens it.

Maybe stop background data for those apps?

Each app should have syncing or notification options. If it is yo and running, it is going to update. Maybe some other previous iPhone users now using Note 5's can help more. Let me go get a few.

#5 battery life is actually really great. I use silent notification for everything that isnt a call or text.
