    Hi guys.

On the Note 5, can you just say "OK Google" without having to touch the phone? Does the phone need to be plugged into a charger like Siri on the iPhone? Do you have to click on something first to activate OK Google? Basically, how does it work?

    Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong people, but I belive the screen has to be on and you can go into settings and turn 'ok Google' on when you are on any screen .

So then, as long as the phone is on/unlocked, and the feature is turned on, we can just say "OK Google" without having to click on something first? True? I'm asking because this is a great feature for when you're driving.

Oh, one more question: on the iPhone, saying "Hey Siri" will allow you to do things like start and send a text or email message or set a reminder, etc. Can these things be done on the Note 5 as well? And if so, is that an OK Google feature or a Samsung feature?

Yes through the Google app you have many voice activated functions

How does "OK Google" work on the Note 5 ?-image.jpg

Similar functions are available with the native S Voice app too

On my note 3 I used an app that switched s voice to Google now. It doesn't work on my note 5 so I've been trying to figure out a way to activate the S voice enough to unlock the phone and use ok Google. I want to be able to use ok Google while the screen is off and not plugged in.

ive noticed some bugs with openmic+ pro version throughout the day. It doesn't drain battery but it seems to be causing problems with other apps like snapchat and galaxy store. I'll post any problems if I can narrow them down.

I wish there were an option to have "Ok Google" detection when charging, but not from any screen while phone is on.

Doesn't the Google Launcher allow you access to 'OK Google' more easily than holding the Home button?

I too am able to access S-Voice with the screen off..... I just say my launch phrase and whatever I need it to do, it does it with no problem. Of course, you have to set it to On under the Wake Up in Secured Lock Feature.
