I'm thinking I might want to go with the Nexus 6P instead of the Note 5. Has anyone had luck selling a Note 5 on eBay or through other means? I'm wondering, realitisticaly, how much someone might be willing to pay for a two month old, in perfect condition (or as perfect after 2 months of use) Note 5 with AT&T.

I'll private message you those details. I don't want to use the forums to sell my device and possibly violate a rule.

I found swappa, but I've never used it before and wonder if people have had success buying or selling with it, or with a different website (preferably in place of eBay or Craig's List).

That's fine I pm you back and yes I would highly recommend Swappa as its far easier and you'll end up with more money then if you were to use eBay. I could also try to help you out with that even if I don't buy it.

I usually use swappa or Craigslist. Swappa will take only $10 for themselves after selling it while eBay will take about 10% of you selling it.

I've sold all my phones on CL with no issues. In Silicon Valley there's never any shortage of buyers for even the oldest crappiest phones. I think they end up sending them to their families overseas.

I've sold a few devices on swappa with much success, I highly recommend it. You can also see right on there what phones similar to yours have recently sold for so that you can list it for a realistic price.

I'd also highly recommend not selling your Note 5

I recently sold my first phone on Swappa and all went pretty smooth.
Note that you must include shipping fee in selling price, then Swappa adds $10 for their cut.
For example: I advertised my phone for $345, Swappa adds $10, so shows as selling for $355.
$345 gets paid to you through Paypal which takes 3%, then insurance and shipping are on you.
So.... from the $345 paid to me, I wound up with $318. Would have been around the same had
I used ebay and charged for shipping.

Which is why I just use CL since I would have just taken 350 cash with a local meet up.

Is there a payment hold like in eBay when you sell on Swappa? I know that when you sell on eBay for the first handful of times your payment is held and unable to be used for up to 21 days.

I was able to transfer funds same or next day. I've been with paypal a long time, and don't know if that makes a difference.
