    Hey guys. Does anybody have the same problem with the note 5? My top left screen where the settings for my camera, back button on fb app, more options for amazon, or any other apps that I use, the top left screen all of a sudden would stop working. Its not recognizing touches even with thens-pen. This is my 2nd note since the 25th of nov. Thats only a week. Even if i try to flip the phone horizontally, it still doesnt work. Only time it starts working is when i restart the phone. Should i get it replaced AGAIN?

    Are you using a case that has a magnet by any chance?

    Same is happening to my brand new Note 5. Did you try a factory reset? New phone?

    I am experiencing the exact same issue. This is what Samsung have done so far, but I still have the problem.

    1. software update
    2. replacement screen and main board
    3. software update
    4. Replacement handset

    But I still have the problem in the exact same place as before... I really dont understand what it is.

    Im using a normal plastic case, no magnet.

    I thought maybe an app, but I deleted all apps and done a factory reset and I still experienced this issue.

    I am being sent a replacement handset now. I've tried factory resets. Deleting apps. Nothing works. I hope the new phone works.

    There's a long thread about this same issue. For some people using a custom launcher fixed the problem. Worth a try.

    Brunla, I really hope it fixes it for you. I didnt have such luck.. exactly the same issue, in the same spot.

    Javier P, you mention a custom launcher. Is this linked to touchwiz? Another post similar to this suggested that could be causing the problem.

    Its actually my gf's phone with the issue, I purchased two handsets on the same day from the same shop. I dont seem to have the same issue, although I use the back button at the bottom of the screen 99% of the time. So I could well have the problem, just dont notice.

    I'm kind of glad to see other people are facing the same issue, to know we are not alone! its driving us crazy!!! lol

    This has gotten on my nerves. Someone posted that Samsung Pay and Android Pay caused a conflict and sure enough, I force stopped theme and it worked, but started back. Now I find that my Facebook Messenger causes it as I systematically went through and closed each open program and came to it. I've tried on multiple occasions and it's the culprit every time, I just don't know of a way to fix it. I welcome any suggestions, and I might go with a launcher. Thanks for the help in here!

    I think the only fix for now is disabling the FB Messenger and wait for an update to fix the problem. There are some reviews in the Play Store commenting this same issue. I recommend to get in touch with FB support just in case they know a workaround.

    The FB messenger app doesnt require using that part of the screen. Or is it the FB messenger app thats causing issues for other apps? We are noticing the problem less as we are adapting our use of the phone to use the back button located at the bottom of the screen.

    There's also a thread wherein a few people resolved it by uninstalling the latest update for Samsung pay then disabling it. Not sure if it works for everyone having this issue but might be worth a try.

    I'm on vzw and I have experienced this problem. I use package disabler and I reenabled everything and then select disable bloatware. It fixed the problem. Haven't experience it in a a couple of days.

    I've also been having this same issue. Mine also is causing the letters P, L, O, and the other buttons on that side of my keyboard, not to function. I disabled Messenger, which I use a lot, and the problem went away.
