Weird Dead Stop in Touch Screen

Hello,
So I got my Note 5 less then 3 days ago. Haven't had any time to root it or do anything to it so it's completely stock right now. But about twice a day I've gotten a touch screen dead spot (both finger and S-pen) in the upper left hand corner (basically where the back arrow usually is and up). Then upon restarting my phone it goes back to normal.

I've never experienced this before in a phone, nor can I find anything about it online. So do you guys have any clue what this could be. And is it hardware or software side?

One of my note 5's has the same thing! It's the wife's phone, going to take it back to Verizon today! Bought these phones on Dec 21
