CS Security wanting usage data access

I use this app strictly for the app lock feature on my note 5 and have everything else disabled this morning the app lock feature stop working advising it needed Usage data access... Why would the app lock feature need this in order to work? I'm probably going to find and different app to use unless there is a good reason for this
