I just got my note 5 the other day and when I copied my music from my laptop I got my music as well as duplicate files ending in .mp3.dup0 it also took forever to copy using all USB 3.0 stuff (wire that came with my phone and the USB 3.0 slot on my laptop. Is there settings on my phone causing these issues?

It's music I've had for years it's come from all over the place.

I didn't sync per se I dragged it from my laptop's music folder to the one on my phone.

It's the same method I used on my xperia z3 and it worked fine which is why I'm not sure what's going on.

I can only assume it's something in your method. I transfered all of my music from my pc to my Note 5 using drag and drop and everything is fine.

Well I used the same method using the USB 3.0 slot on my laptop with the cable that came with my phone. Maybe it's a windows 10 thing?

I guess that's a possibility. Did you see if there were duplicates in the source?

Yep, there wasn't any duplicate files in my source folder. That was the first thing I checked when I noticed them on my phone.
