If your an xfinity customer you can watch any Chanel on the app that you can watch with your box. I'm not a sports fan but their are a ton of sports channels available to watch yes. It's your subscription right in the app. You get all the live Chanel's plus on demand

All networks and all of the premium ones too

It's so amazing to be able watch live tv whatever you want whenever you want especially in picture and picture mode where you can continue to do other tasks simultaneously

Other apps that work with picture and picture are Hulu, Plex, and of course the native Video app. Hopefully Netflix will be following suit. Stick with your iPad baby cuz android ain't doin this lol. This is an exclusive thing these apps are implementing for Apple

I didn't even know the xfinity app could do picture in picture. It was pure accident when I closed the app it just automatically continued in picture and picture mode just like Plex does. I was stunned! With Hulu you actually have to touch the little picture in picture symbol on the bottom right corner.

I wonder if direct tv has implemented picture in picture yet

Not with anything. Was just watching the BlackList on the Xfinity app and when I hit the home button it went away. It doesn't seem to be playing through the native video player.
