Yeah my battery usage jumped all the way to the top, it usually never shows up. I think it's just everything else is using a lot less battery now. I like the update.

This is the first time I have not been required to do a factory reset because of battery drain.

I'll do a reset in the next couple of days anyway to insure Marshmallow is optimized.

I have had my phone off of the charger for 25 mins... 20 my screen has been on. It days 100% battery usage is screen. This is EXACTLY what I would expect it to say. After I set it down for 20 mins it would likely fall to 80% or so. The screen does have to be off for its percentage do lessen, or you have to turn on other power hogging things. Sounds to me the screen usage issue is a non-issue. Just my opinion.

Noting the world one S-Pen at a time!

Got a call from the VZ Tech specialist referred by the VZ AD... he has same phone, running Marshmallow update, his Screen use on battery is 10%.. He's aware of other similar issues.

I will see if problem settles down over the weekend. Will run phone down to 10% battery. Then fast charge. If issues continue, will probably do factory reset.

My phone today, no screen use, currently since last post is 42%. Thats5 the lowest it's been since update. Usually before update, was 12% on avg.

Other that battery drain and much higher screen usage, the phone is running fine with Marshmallow.

How much screen on time can you get out of a charge?

First night with the update and the phone only drained 4% during my 6 hours of sleep.

Couldn't be happier this update after 24 hours with it. (Yes, tiny sample, I know.)

It's hard to say at this time. I'm trying to keep my time on the phone to a minimum to see if the system 'conditions' following the update. Right now if I'm off the screen, the screen battery usage is finally droping... under 45%. Currently it's at 36%.

Prior, If I got on the phone for any length of time, the screen usage would increase from the 45% or so minimum, upwards to the 70% number... or there abouts.

This morning when I was on it hard, the overall battery percentage dropped quickly from 92% down to 68%... in no time. The screen usage was in the 80's.

As mentioned, under Lollipop, the screen usage averaged a low 12% or so. Very constant.

Trying to be conservative and seeing what unfolds.

Yes, but the percentage is relative. Before you charge it next time look at the screen on time and how much battery you have left. If you have your screen on the whole time, it would be at almost 100% and that would be expected. People on here know a lot more than me, but I think anyone would need to know how much screen on time you get on a charge to be able to help. The percentage is irrelevant without that information.

Someone previously mentioned this before a few page's back, but bringing it back up because it is kind of annoying to deal with every time want to use the phone.

Is there anyway to remove the 'Double lock' screen? so don't have to swipe then enter the pattern. Before it was turn on pattern and done, now have to do a swipe and wait.

You may have already tried this, but go to Settings>Lockscreen and Security>Show information>>>and make sure weather is set to on. Some are reporting that a few settings get lost in the update and may need to be reset. Hope this helps.

You see "Show Information" on that page on VZW 6.0.1?
I don't see it!
Maybe you are referring to "Notifications on lock screen"?
Even so, everything on that page is enabled but I still don't see weather on the lockscreen.

Any ideas?
