Verizon note5 Gmail not accessing contacts since 6.0 update

So since my 6.0 update on Verizon Gmail does not pull up my contacts email adrrss when I start typing name anyone else seeing this

You have to allow Gmail to access your contacts. When I first tried to compose an email there was a message saying to allow access to contacts. I tapped the message, and then names appaeared.

Okay I must have missed that prompt is there a why to rest my Gmail app permission with out removing it

Yes there is.
Go to application manager, Gmail, and give it permission to contacts.
