Whenever I plug in my Note 5 the charger (part that plugs into the phone) gets burning hot to the touch. It actually feels like it can burn your skin. I'm using the charger that came in the box Samsung provided. I don't feel like this is safe and it shouldn't be doing this

Hi throssel

I would agree that it shouldn't get that hot. Have you tried other electrical outlets? Me, personally, would purchase another OEM cable and wall charger, to see if it "might" be the cable, then I would contact Samsung Support.

Did this just start? Or was it always like this?

OP... I just checked my Samsung Note 5 charger, Anker cable... and my Anker charger with cable. Both always plugged in, both do fast charging. They're both cool and normal.

It's either your wall socket, your charger and/or your cable. I'd remove them from use if it gets as hot as you say.

Samsung cables have a bad reputation among m any here.

Good luck and be safe.

I only notice my charger getting hot when I'm using fast charging and using the phone at the same time. When I turn on normal charging and start using the phone, it doesn't get (as) hot.
