HELP!
I woke up today with my Galaxy Note 5 not working. THE ONLY RESPONSE I'M GETTING IS A SMALL BLUE NOTIFICATION LIGHT THAT BLINKS EVERY 1.5 SECONDS I woke up with it not responding even after i used it the last night. i figured it couldn't have been a screen issue because my alarm never went off and i tried to force reboot it, but still nothing but the damn blue light. Please help. Shows no sign of charging and I'm no longer doing so in hopes that maybe when it runs out of battery it will act normal but i feel like that's going to take a very long time. I've only had the phone for about 4 months now and i haven't recently downloaded any apps or have any apps that might have caused an issue.

Welcome to Android Central! Press and hold Power and Vol Down for about 15-20 seconds to see if you can force a shutdown (which should make that blinking light stop). If it does stop, then plug the phone into an outlet and let it charge for at least 4 hours undisturbed. Then try powering on by pressing and holding Power for 15-20 seconds.

Try booting into recovery mode and rebooting from there. Recovery mode is volume up + power button + home button. You need to do it while it's fully off. Let us know if it works.

From my AT&T Note 5 paired with my larger Asus Zenwatch 2

No matter how long I hold the power and volume down buttons nothing ever happens. It never indicates when it charges and I can't turn it on

That doesn't sound good. Try leaving it plugged into a wall outlet overnight, undisturbed. Then try powering on again by pressing and holding Power for at least 15 seconds. If nothing happens, then it's likely that either the battery died or something on the motherboard failed. Contact Samsung, if it's still under warranty.

I took it to Verizon and they showed me it was water damage, but apparently it's only on half of the device so they're deciding whether $100 or $200 depending on how guilty they think I am for a new phone

I had the same problem. Woke up to blinking Blu/purple LED light. Was charging, screen black will not reboot or complete a hard shut down. I chatted with Samsung Tech Support and Verizon Tech who took me thru all the modes of reset/reboot. Now I am waiting on Samsung to send me another phone. No cracks, chips, water damage, etc. just went out Saturday around 3-4 a.m I even took phone to Samsung Support Agent in Best Buy, no resonate. Best Buy mobile Specialist even took a look at it and could not get the phone to do anything.

I wonder if I take SIMS Card out and put back I will that trigger anything.

I don't understand the water damage piece the writer is stating her carrier is saying she had.

I dropped my phone and it's unresponsive too. Expect that stupid blue light. I'm keeping it charged so when I go to Tmobile tomorrow they won't tell me its just dead. Ugh. I'm so mad! Vie dropped it before and its been fine but this was a hard face down hit. There's no crack it the screen, its just completely black. If you press the power button on the side you can kinda see a flash on the top. People who have called me say my voicemail sounds muffled. I've only had this phone since right before summer. Thankfully I have insurance. Hopefully I can get a replacement tomorrow.

Re: How do i fix my galaxy note 5?!?!?! (blue light of death) SOLUTION Galaxy S5 a solid blue light

SOLUTION!

I woke up this morning with the same problem on my Galaxy S5 a solid blue light and black screen.

I took the battery out, said a prayer, and put the battery back in, and WOW
my phone is back to normal
Good luck with yours

strange thing. I had a similar thing happen the other day. Used my phone in the morning without a problem. Pulled it out later and found it rebooting... sorta. The AT&T globe was on the screen but very very faint. The blue led was on, but pulsing about once a second. I pressed the power button for at least 5 minutes with nothing happening. I figured I'd lost it, but was going to see what happened when the battery finally died. Then I noticed that the silly thing was HOT! I don't mean warm, it was HOT! I keep it in an otter box so I pulled it out of the case, set it someplace safe and backed off. After about two hours, it finally died. I waited until it was good and cold and then put it on charge for a couple of hours. Booted back up PERFECTLY. No problem since. The strange thing, my battery life is now 5 times what it was before. I was having to charge my phone at least every 3 hours, and now it last 12 hours and it STILL shows at least 40 % . So my question is... what the heck happened?
