I just installed MM, and don't see any Doze app.
Does it work all by itself, or can you turn it on and off?
Also, does it really prolong battery life?
    Any tips in using it?

Far as I know it works and theirs no way to interact with it cause it is baked into the system.

Personally I think the idea of Doze was lost when they made it only work when the phone is at rest. (i.e. not moving around in a clip or pocket) My phone is hardly ever at wrest when I'm not at the desk using SideSync. This would have been a lot better if it started to work whenever the screen is off. I can't say I'm seeing much benefit from this the way it is now.

I agree, the only time mine is at rest is when I'm asleep and it's plugged in charging overnight. Kinda defeats the whole purpose.

Android N is supposed to have it enabled at all times.
