Ever since I have updated to Marshmallow my text notifications still make audio noise even when my phone is on vibrate. This has happened with WhatsApp and Textra. I had to manually go into WhatsApp to turn off sound and looks like I have to do the same for Textra. It was not like this before. Any advice?

Edit: Looks like Textra doesn't have the option to turn off sound on notifications so I'm going to have sound even when my phone is set to vibrate. Not good.

I don't use textra anymore, but there used to be an option to turn off the sound. You may have to go into the main settings of the phone to turn off the notifications.

The problem is I still need the notifications so turning them off won't work. I just need them to not make an audible noise while on vibrate.

Go under settings. Then click on customize notification. Look for the word vibrate and click on it. A menu will come up with the options always, only on silent, and vibrate only when phone is set to vibrate, and never.

Now Whatsapp has started doing it again. I don't know what else to do except try a factory reset.

If anyone else is having issues where there vibrate mode doesn't work please let me know.

Okay so it's not just me. It's very annoying. Hopefully they come out with a fix.
