So the S Pen that came with my Note 5 that I got from eBay may have been fake. It was a gold one with a black end cap and gold clicker. So I ordered one from Amazon. Can someone please tell me if I got a real Samsung S Pen or is it a knock off? The gold one that I ordered today is all gold.

Here's the real one I bought about a month ago. Came with extra nibs under the insert.

I ordered one from Amazon also, as my current one broke off inside the phone. It was $19.99 with free shipping, using Prime. It looks just like the one pictured above and came with the extra nibs too. Looks and feels totally authentic to me. I couldn't test it though, because of the part of the pen still inside, so I had a girl at my AT&T store test it on her personal Note 5, and it worked perfectly. I wanted to be assured it was a good purchase as my phone is now currently in route to Samsung to have it taken apart and the pen pulled out. I did notice that the pen I bought is now priced higher at Amazon, up to $25.76, so the price obviously fluctuates, and I apparently bought at a good time!!

I just got scammed. The seller swore up ,and down it was a Real S-pen O.E.M. ..it was a fake . The way that you can spot a fake is the Pen will not have Pots under the Button cover ,and the nib will most likely be a white color . Not the real grey ,or black the pen came with . It may also appear wider . The nib is non replaceable, and will break off if you try to replace it . The pressure sensitivity is way off ,and does not control very well . Maybe it works only on one side only . The paint will flake off after a few days a real close look at the button looks a little better or worse . It just looks a little diffrent . You have to PUSH the pen . But the white nib that is non replaceable is a pretty good dead giveaway. Also I think the real deal is made in Vietnam ,or South Korea? But not for certain . That is too bad . A better S-pen could have been made than OEM. If they just put a little tiny effort into the stupid things. Hope this helps .

I have an OEM SPEN. This SPEN is the original SPEN That came with the phone from day 1. It does not have these"Pots" and it is made in China... So lol
