Include s-pen with trade in.

I'm going to Trade in my Galaxy note 5 to Verizon. It says I don't have to include any accessories. Does anyone know if I need to include the S pen?

Although the Note 5 Pen will work on the display of the Note 8, it will not fit inside that phone. You really need to include the pen. They may give you less credit on the trade with a missing S Pen.

I included it with the trade in of Note 5 and they gave me full credit and made reference to the excellent condition of the phone.
