Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, it sounds like a hardware failure -- the blue LED light is typically a bad sign. You'd have to bring it to a repair shop if the phone is important to you; otherwise, look into getting a new phone. Sorry!

Thank you for such a quick response. I was hoping to hand that phone down to my kid. Most importantly I'll be missing the pictures that were stored on it. But I really appreciate your quick response. Thanks again have a great day!

Wierd thing though. Once in a while when I connect it to my PC it will bring up a prompt screen for a moment. But then no response. Any chance my data is still there? Thank you so much for any info again.

A bricked phone can still register as something when connected to PC via USB. The data is probably still there, but you'd have to bring it to a data recovery specialist to get it (which can cost hundreds of dollars, even over $1000 in some cases).

Ouch. Was worried about that. Guess those memories are lost. Always be in my head though. Just wish I could share them. Technology is an amazing thing, but crushing at some times. Thanks again for your support and response. Much appreciated!

Sure thing! Sorry about the data loss. Just in case, check your Google Photos in the cloud, or your Samsung Cloud, just in case you had the photo backup option turned on for either one. For Google photos, just go to photos.google.com on your computer browser to see if they're there. I'm not familiar with Samsung Cloud, so I'm not sure how to check there, though.
