Besides generally better pricing, what I like about Amazon are the customer reviews. Even with the small possibility of a fake product showing up on Amazon, the suspicion will be expressed by reviewers.

Obviously, with a new model phone and new accessories, there will be fewer reviews on which to rely. (That's just another reason, why I don't order a new phone and accessories as soon as they are released. I like to hear what people both here and on Amazon say about their purchases. Occasionally, early production or quality issues will be reported, that then will get fixed, like the Spigen cases that had holes in the wrong places. )

I trust actual customer experience more than professional reviewers who get their products for free and who spend so little time with a product before having to write about it.

Sure there are a few reviews by people on Amazon, who also get products from the manufacturer via Amazon at substantially reduced prices or for free, but they are required to mention that in their reviews, so you can disregard their reviews, if you wish.

What I really want is an Air Dock 2.0. (The Air Dock 2.0 - No Cord, No Clutter, & No Hassle | The Air Dock) The device attaches to the windsheild by suction cup. There is also a wire that then plugs into your car lighter.

All you have to do is place your phone on it and it just stays. No clips to fool with, just place your phone on it in whatever orientation you want, portrait or landscape. The device then charges your phone wirelessly. No need to plug any phone cable or fool with any type of clips. Just place your phone on it and it starts charging. This way you can use your phone for bluetooth streaming and navigation, and charge your device all simultaneously! When you leave the car, you just grab your phone without having to fool with anything.

I have quite a few I have accumulated. But recently this little one meets my needs perfectly. Having many big bulky battery chargers, this one is so small it's crazy, yet still 10,000 Mah. It's QC 3.0 (backwards compatible to 2.0) and super-portable. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd ..

Fyi, it is 18w. The Note 7 supports charging up to 25w.

I have not yet decided on which case to get. Here is a few I'm thinking about:
SPIGEN Rugged Armor Resilient Black Ultimate Protection Galaxy Note 7 Case | eBay at $10.99
Spigen®「Thin Fit」Slim Thin Hard Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 | eBay at $8.99
The second one is the same one I'm using for my S7E now. Which one would be better for the N7?

I've been looking at the same ones but was leaning toward the resilient.

How do you like the thin fit? Does it have a rubber coating on the inside or is it just polycarbonate touching the phone?

I do like the slim fit. But wanted something different. But I may go with the slim fit and maybe get another one later. I just want a case to put it in when I do get the N7. I got my S7e slim fit a few days before I got the phone hoping the same thing this time around.

If I can avoid it, don't like anything that attaches to the windshield. When very warm or very cold, they tend to fall off. After trying many, the best was this baby
Vent Car Mount Techmatte® Maggrip Air Vent Magnetic Universal Car Mount Hold | eBay
Also sold on Amazon. Couldn't believe it at first, but it's rock solid. And the company seems to be rock solid, too.
