Ugh. After having trouble with a film type protector, I have been looking for glass. It doesn't appear that there's any definitive good product for the Note 7. I honestly hate the curved edges on this phone. It makes protecting the screen very difficult. I have 2 different cases that hvae caused the film protectors to bubble up. It seems like there's not going to be a good answer due to the curved edge. Does anyone have a screen protector and case combo that works?

Hey all - just giving my own update here.

I got one of SUPTMAX's Tempered Glass Screen Protectors for the FLAT portion of the screen from Amazon, and I couldn't be happier with it. There isn't any haloing whatsoever, and absolutely zero bubbles.

This was achieved by using an alcohol spray (literally rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle) and spraying the adhesive side of the glass as well as the phone's screen after the latter was cleaned with the cloth that comes with it. Placing the glass down on the glass will reveal LOTS of water bubbles underneath - but that's alright. Simply align the protector EXACTLY center on the phone, or as close as possible (the screen protector will SLIDE AROUND on the screen since the alcohol stops the adhesive from working), and begin applying pressure to the center of the screen. Use credit cards or finger nails to begin easing the liquid out from underneath the protector, wiping up the alcohol as it pops out from the sides of the protector. Do this with lots of dedication and focus, and you'll get an amazing result. I say again, this will prevent haloing of ANY kind. Make sure to continue pushing out the liquid bubbles as they appear - they will appeal again, so just use LOTS of pressure to get them out from underneath. After 24 hours, it should be perfect.

The benefit of this brand's glass is that the taper at the sides of the class is so exquisitely manufactured that you can run your finger along the edge of the protector and the curve, and your touch response will not be affected. It is ridiculously comfortable to use and the protector doesn't bother my fingers whatsoever on the edges.

To be clear, my edges are not covered, but my case PLUS the tempered glass allows the phone to be protected on 95% of the body, which is what matters to me.

Please forgive the quality of the photos - I had to take them with my Surface Book since it's the only other camera I have in the house.

So you're ok with the exposed sides?

Yes I kept the screen protector it came with out of the box.

The easy way to tell that a tempered glass screen protector is junk is that they are colored on the top and bottom. They do this to hide the junk glue under the colored sections. The just adhesive is probably why they aren't putting adhesive on the entire screen.
Actually, based on what IQ Shield stated to me in an email, this is correct.

    From Kristen of IQ Shield:
"The adhesive is visible, so we cannot put it on entire screen. Once installed properly there should be no problem."

Still begs the question why don't they use the same adhesive as Flat screen protectors that is not visible?

I sent them another email. This what I said.

    Hi Kristine,
I have already sent the order back for a full refund. No matter, I must respond to you. In regards to the adhesive issue, why is it that these Note7 tempered glass are designed with adhesive only on the edges? So you say the adhesive is visible and this is why it can't be put on the entire screen.
For several years IQ Shield as well as many other brands have been making tempered glass for hundreds or even thousands of devices, from phones, tablets, and smart watches. Tempered glass for all those devices prior to the Note7 have been made with adhesive on the whole screen. When installed correctly there is no streaking, bubbles, or any sign of adhesive. Those tempered glass with full adhesive provided clarity that made it seem there was no screen protector, provided great protection, and worked with protective cases.
So, I implore you to investigate the complaints and negative reviews, re-evaluate your current product, remove it from the market, and re-release it with the adhesive which has been used for years on previous products. Thank you.

They only replied with an apology and the process of getting a refund. They don't have a real answer.

Having used glass screen protectors on all of my devices for years now, I am completely unsatisfied with the crappy film protector I'm using on my Note7. It's really bad. I am not going to buy another phone with curved edges. I don't like it at all.

I agree, although I love the curved edges a tempered glass is a must every since they came out with them. I thought I'd lucked up with one from Verizon, but it isn't very responsive to touch which is annoying. I'm going to return it and have them apply a plastic one or a tempered glass w/o the rounded edges.

I grabbed one off Amazon but it was cut horribly. Nowhere close to the sides - row of keys for the keyboard were outside the glass on both sides. Too short too - Half the buttons to the right and left of the fingerprint sensor were exposed.

Maybe I just got a bad one.
