    Hi,

I'm new to this USB-C thing and the amps on the car chargers. Can someone help? For the Note 7, do I need the 2.4A or the 3.0A to get fast charge? Or does it not matter and which one would be the better one to get? Thanks.

For example, this car charger goes up to 3.0 amps: https://www.amazon.com/Vinsic%C2%AE-...cUvbUpU5316220

And this one does 2.4 amps: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...cUvbUpU5316220

If you already have a micro usb car charger, just use an adapter for it.

I have the Aukey version and plan on using it with the Note 7 and adapter.

The phone comes with an adapter. You can save your money or buy those to add to each of your cables if you wish.

I just ordered this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...cUvbUpU5316942 . I don't want to use the adapter as that is just one more thing to get lost in the car. I'll probably pick up two USB Type C cables when I go to T-Mobile to turn in my Note 5, one for a spare and one for my laptop bag as I always take it with me when I travel.

I have one of these and it will not fast charge my note 4 through the USB connection. I don't have any way to test the c-type plug though

This plus two 3' usb A-C cables will be keeping my wife and my note 7's charged

Keep in mind with the Note 7 you'll get fast charging when using a Quick Charge 2.0 charger with a USB A to C cable. No need to go all-in with new USB C chargers and C-C cables.
