    The S7 edge is every bit as good as the Note 7. It just doesn't burn your house down
    If you've used GraceUX you'd understand why some of us are still lamenting the Note 7 situation.

    If S7E had the same UI, this whole debacle would've been easier to swallow. It's the little things like the reworked camera UI and the reworked notification shade that make me miss the Note 7. I know it seems trivial, but I'm already used to swiping up to switch between rear and front facing camera.

    Surely these updates should be coming to the S7, but I've learned never to make assumptions like that.

    Just solidified a loaner S7 edge though @tmobilehelp. Great experience, didn't take to long, rep was awesome. Signed the EIP and everything. Also, I was limited on the color options, they must be running low

    I cannot. I did my loanee request early this morning and nothing yet.

    Has anyone asked t-mobile if they'll reimburse those of us on EIP? We are now paying for a phone we can't use.
    I was told today that my N7 is "frozen" and I won't be charged during this situation. I was also told I would receive a credit to cancel out the EIP charge for the S7 Edge loaner.

    Huge oversight on my part. I didn't realize that getting the loaner in store also means that i have to pick up replacement phone in store. I also give up the loaner phone that day.

    Not the smartest choice to make when out of state. At least traveling with a s7 edge is safer...

    Expected replacement dates for new Note 7s for all countries. The US is at the bottom on the list with no expected dates, as the government has gotten involved.
    The US is at the bottom because the countries are listed alphabetically. Not cuz we're last on the lost or because the gov got involved.

    A T mobile rep @tmobilehelp told me that general care reps aren't able to process the loaner requests and they are sending them up to thier supervisors. That is why we aren't seeing them on the accounts yet. You should get a confirmation email where you are able to sign the EIP. Without that signature, within 48 hours, the request will not be processed. I suppose, the start of the week you'll start getting verification emails. Once the supers catch up.

    Yes, my "loaner" s7 edge order is showing up in account activity on mytmobile and I received an email after signing the EIP stating that the phone would ship overnight between 9/11-9/16.

    Which store in St. Louis? I live in St. Louis as well and will be exchanging mine in store.
    I'm in the metro east. I dont think any stores is doing in store exchanges.

    Good question. They might be refurbished. That would make fiscal sense on TMO's side of things

    Regrettably, with a vacation coming up very soon, I had to order a loaner just in case the flight advisement turned into something serious. I'll throw my SIM in the S7 Edge for the trip and back to the Note when I back. Hopefully replacements come before the 30th.

    I don't really see how you can love the note 7 and "hate" the S7E. It's (minus a few subtle features) the same device.

    I put my sim in my Robin and ordered a loaner s7 edge last night. It's silver so I know I won't like it.

    I was curious what you were planning to do since you had that upcoming trip.

    If it was the same device, they wouldn't have different names, launch at different times, have different features.

    Seriously, people need to stop peddling that they are the same. They are not and it's not even close.
