Thanks for sharing. Yeah I have a sku on mine too but it can't be found online either. I don't foresee these coming in till 21st or after unless it's a miracle lol. This is my guess based on the whole situation till date.

Just got back from Best Buy in Chesapeake Va after waiting for store to open for 45 mins! Was told Email I got was a mistake! I am so tired of this mess. I will give it a week and than getting a refund and going back to our old phones. I have had enough!
I mean.. Someone has to scan that product then tie your preorder to it for you to get the email right? Usually how the process goes but I could be wrong.

They started calling other customers while I was at the counter about the mistake. I wasn't the only one. Just Great!

Let's be realistic here for one second though...

The only consistent thing Best Buy has done throughout this entire ordeal is email once to indicate what their options are for us as people that purchased from them. Even that didn't go smoothly once people when back into the stores.

Secondly, IF you signed up for the notification on WHEN they are going to be back in, in general and not a pre-order, you were supposed to be updated by Best Buy, per their registration site.

As far as I know, this has not happened, and I have not seen anyone else post that they were "updated" on the situation by Best Buy. Again, not for those that were put back on a "Pre-Order", but those that signed up for the updates via the best buy link.

Got a call from Samsung Experience rep this morning. He said that the Note 7 will be in Wednesday, but to insure that I get one, I need to come in and have orders generated for the 2 new phones. I just returned with the orders. Hope Wednesday is the day for replacement.

I know it must have been said many times but how can BestBuy have so many people in their mobile department be so out of the loop on the biggest callback in Samsung's history on a Flagship phone no less. You would have to walk around with your fingers in your ears and refuse to read anything to be this messed up. An BestBuy itself how could the majority of your employees be so ignorant on what is happening. I walked into my local Bestbuy in Lake Mohegan and the mobile dept was completely clueless. I walked over to the Samsung specialist, when she finally got off her phone she was just as clueless. I feel that being that uninformed of the process by so many people does not come easy. I repeat being that out of the loop for so many employees does NOT come easy it's as if they all had to work at it like a guy who recorded the super bowl and avoids hearing anything till he gets home .Honk your horn 2 times if you agree.:-[

Honk honk !! I fully agree no one knows anything here in MA and NH either. They are wicked clueless. So I am thinking either they are purposely not giving information or legit have blinders on. So I did speak with Samsung and they told me to call stores monday, Tuesday and Wednesday , if on Wednesday store says they don't have it then samsung said to get a manager and call us right then and there. So if stores act funny maybe they will need a push from Samsung:/.

All this madness makes me just want to take a chance and keep my 7 and say screw the recall. Has never gotten warm or any issues but the IMEI is affected. Plus they will brick those with a 60% battery patch for the hold outs. Damned if you do...

I would not take the chance, because the risk is real and already we have dealt with this madness might as well put up with it more to get the new one.

Jonathan Strobel is suing Samsung after his Galaxy Note 7 exploded in his front pants pocket, leaving him injured. Strobel who hails from Boca Raton, said that he was in a Costco store in Palm Beach Gardens on September 9, when his Galaxy Note 7 exploded. The device burned through his pants, resulting in severe burns to his right leg. Strobel also mentioned that his left thumb was also severely burned when he tried to use his left hand to remove the device from his pocket.

The girl in front of him said "is that a phone exploding in your front pocket, or are you just glad to meet me?"

I just have to say I went to the BB where I bought my Note 7 today, in NH. The experience was great. They took my info and gave me a pre-order receipt and sent an email. Hopefully the new ones will be in soon.

The odds after sustained use should be very low, but since a recalled device, perhaps future problems for warranty or other issues. Best to exchange when available.
