I do not need that because the phone is already USB-C. The other end should be able to plug into the computer and the fast charging block no problem. Just wondering if it would cause any issues.
Some chargers use USB C at both ends like the Nexus 6 but it also came with standard USB cable to plug into any USB power supply.

I wonder if it will be a USB3 or USB2 standards like the Nexus 6p and 5x. Would be nice to see USB3 for more options like USB-C to HDMI cables.
USB2 with USB-c connectors does not support it. USB3 with USB-C does.

More powerful than the typical Quick Charge 2.0 charger or previous gen Samsung adaptive fast chargers?

Thanks. Good find, unfortunate though. Oh well, 3.0 charging speeds are probably not too much greater than QC 2.0, and at least we know what chargers to buy now :-)
Qualcomm's press release states 2.0 and 3.0. it's down at the bottom in fine print. "Galaxy Note7 features Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0. The version varies by markets."

Cool. So what does the US variant support? So hard to get a clear answer to this one.

Wow, talk about Eagle eye! Wow, did you spot that?! Well, it is clear that if you buy a QC 3.0 charger, you are covered at this point I think, whether it ends up being 2.0 or 3.0.

I wonder what do they mean by "varies by markets".

I know it's obvious, but which countries exactly get 2.0 and 3.0? Furthermore, which processors get which?

(Yes, Exynos processors do support Qualcomm Quick Charge. The S6 and Note5 were Exynos-only and worked on QC 2.0 wallwarts)

I just want to know if the USB Type County port will be more reliable than the MicroUSB port on the Note 5. My port sucks on my Note 5.

I would imagine the "The version varies by markets" means the Exynos version and not the SD version. I am going to go with IT DOES support 3.0 and go from there. All my chargers are 2.0 so it really doesn't matter that much to me.

I think that refers to the Exynos version. SD trying to cover all basis so no one comes back to that statement and says "YOU SAID SO!!!"

I think I just Googled "Note 7 QC 3.0" and the press release came up. It took me a few minutes to locate the fine print after reading the article several times and not finding what was in my Google result. I was using my phone so I couldn't just do a search for it.

The fast charger on the s7 edge is 9v/1.67 max, or 15w.. Most aftermarket fast chargers do 12v/1.5a max or 18w. This includes most qualcomm quick charge 3.0 chargers.

This Samsung note 7 can do 12v/2.1a or 25w max.

Yeah I see what you mean. When you click show QC 3.0 devices it filters out the Note 7.

OK, next question. Any 3rd party chargers that support the full 25W that would be compatible with the Note 7?

I assume this won't connect to the charging stand without a type C to micro adapter. Is this correct? Also, is Samsung going to release a type C stand as well?

There are several 3rd party USB C charging stands out there, but who knows how well or how fast they will charge. I have been looking for these as well..

I would prefer to stay with the OEM Samsung stand so maybe we just have to wait to see if they are going to produce a type C unit.
