    Hey guys, just got off phone with Verizon and had to redo my preorder and they said that if i were to use a upgrade from a different line and put my sim card from my note 5 i would lose my Unlimited data, anyone else with unlimited data run into this problem? I have never heard of this till today and have always transfer upgrades to different line for new phone.
    I did this last year and lost my unlimited data unfortunetly..

    I have a friend that works at verizon. He said that basically you need to make sure that the new sim card does not activate on your line. Sounds like it will need to be activated on the upgraded line and then switched out after that.

    For the S7 Edge I got my shipping notice on a Sunday. So it can still happen this weekend
    I have a friend that works at verizon. He said that basically you need to make sure that the new sim card does not activate on your line. Sounds like it will need to be activated on the upgraded line and then switched out after that.
    A whole lot of switching around..did you pre order your phone

    That will cost you $20 more dollars for getting it at the store. Free activation is for online orders only.
    I'm not trying to seem like I'm balling or something. But I'm not concerned on savings $20. I'd pay $40 to get it in store to be perfectly honest...

    I just take the SIM from my old phone and toss it into the new phone.

    Yep! That's what I do!

    Simply trim down the micro sim to nano size with scissors.
    Just make sure you trim the little fitted corner first so you don't get confused.

    How did this happen?
    I have unlimited on 3 lines and 1 normal 2gb line. I always transfer my upgrade online to the 2gb one and order it from there. Then I activate it and then call Verizon to switch numbers. Is this what you do? Because I've never had a problem with this. I bought my note 7 after I transferred an upgrade from an unlimited line to the 2 gb.

    You are doing it correctly from what I understand. The problem occurs if you activate the phone on your unlimited line.
    How do you transfer your upgrade? My situation is like this:
    I hAve my Unlimited line which is avaliable for upgrade, which I obviously won't do because I would lose unlimited.
    Then I have a normal dummy line that I don't use that is eligible for upgrade. My first thought, which is what I've done, was upgrade the dummy line then transfer my number after the phone is activated. But I read the other day, and i have had this confirmed from verizon, that verizon is about to crack down on unlimited users who are using of 100 gig per line per month and users who are OUT OF CONTRACT, which is what I'll be if I don't upgrade my Unlimited line rather than my dummy line. So, that being said, how do I transfer upgrades? Guess I'll have to cancle my august 3rd order. Hope it doesn't affect delivery.

    Lol called Verizon this morning and simply asked that in the event that my phone doesn't ship or arrive by 19, can I call from the store and cancel my order..like robot and with non chalant attitude, she answered yes. That made my day.

    you might be able to cancel the order, but if the phone shipped and just hasn't arrived, your line won't be eligible for upgrade until they get the phone back. Been there

    If it does show that it actually shipped, then I won't go to the store..
