Well, this is my 'let's all get paranoid' post about the Note 7 pre-order gifts. In case you haven't read through the terms, and just like the VR set from the S7/S7 Edge, these gifts are limited. So make sure you get yours as soon as you get your phone so you can input the IMEI (AFAIK only Best Buy has been shipping Gear Fit 2's, so not sure if those will 'count' against the quota).

1) Gear Fit 2 and SD Cards are limited to 250,000 each.
2) Netflix subscriptions are limited to 100,000.
3) Should these promos run out, Samsung will have the option to do the following at its discretion.
a) Offer more of each gift
b) Offer the customer to wait until the item becomes available
c) Offer a $100 credit from Samsung.com

So there you have it. Better safe than sorry.

What are you guys getting? I'm still undecided :(

In case it helps:

1) Gear Fit 2 - Currently $150 at Best Buy
2) Samsung Evo+ MicroSD 256GB - Currently $210 at Best Buy, saw it for $170 on Amazon before they ran out of stock. 128GB version is currently $42 on Amazon)
3) Netflix subscription - $120 for US accounts ($66 for Mexican, grandfathered accounts or $87 for Mexican accounts on the new pricing).

(I put the Mexican Netflix as reference because the code does work for a 'year' of Netflix regardless of the country your account is paying it in...at least they did on the past two Netflix promos from T-Mobile).

I see B&H has the card on preorder for $209 but Best Buy is $249.

Also, the 128gb Evo+ for $42 is not the same class of card, it's speed rating 1. The 256gb in the promotion is speed rating 3. They may both be in the Evo+ line but nowhere near the same speed.

Where did you see that one? I can only see the '256 Evo+' description in the promo rules, nothing about speeds...(OK, Samsung's description of their cards do state 80Mbps for the 128 and 93Mbps for the 256 one... other than that, I don't see any further description)

It's on the page you linked... Write speed up to 90MB for the 256gb.

The write speed for the lower capacity Evo+ line is around 20MB.

Well, that's what I mean... the 256 Evo+ has a 90Mbps speed, and that's the one that was listed on Amazon before going MIA. The 128 is pegged at 80Mbps in Samsung's page and that one is going for 42 bucks on Amazon.

The 128 you linked is 20MB write, huge difference compared to the 90MB write of the 256. That's why it's so much cheaper.

The closest price comparison to a 128gb card that can be made is the Pro+ line. Similar read/write speeds to the 256gb card in the promotion.

Easy way to tell is look at the number inside the U on the picture of the card. The 256 has a 3, which is speed class 3, the 128 you linked has a 1.

Aha! Thanks, I was only looking at the read speeds. That makes sense. Still, it showed up for 170 bucks before, so while still the 'most expensive' of the three gifts, not as expensive as the Samsung site makes it out to be (and in case you won't use it, probably the hardest to sell for a close-to value).

Yeah the 256gb might be worth the most but very few people are going to buy a $200ish microSD card is not going to be easy to sell,at least at a price near retail.

Yeah, the current plan would be to get rid of it but who knows in 4-12 weeks or however long fulfillment will be. Maybe I'll be keeping more stuff on my card and need the space. Currently have a 128gb Pro+ so speed isn't an issue and it's not even close to full. I keep the card mirrored to my OneDrive account with 1TB storage so I don't even keep everything on the card.

I'd have to see the Fit 2 in person to see if it's better than my MS Band 2.

I checked Swappa... A fit 2 new is running around $110-120...and prices would only drop as more people get theirs
