I was under the impression that the N7 had a security folder where you can drop stuff and it's only accessible via iris scanner.

You'resupposed to be able to hide apps natively.

YES i would like it that way

Samsung decided to remove the option to hide apps in the app drawer,
replacing it with an uninstall/disable feature instead.
Before, with the hide feature, you could simply hide third-party apps
that were barely used or that you didn't want others to see.
Now, you can only completely get rid of them.

I did this for the bloatware apps that couldn't be uninstalled, but also for some of the apps which I only use when traveling overseas which isn't more than once or twice a year.

Samsung Pass, Secure Folder and Galaxy Note 7 Iris Scanner At Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2016

Guess need to wait and see how this new security works

My impression from the demo is that you can put almost anything e.g. apps, files, folders in the secure folder behind a password, iris or finger scan. I thought I saw something about even being able to hide the secure folder somehow.

During the demo they said you could move the secure folder into another regular folder to help conceal it.

So, to hide the Secure Folder
1) go to settings
2) go to Lock Screen and Security
3) select Secure Folder
4) enable Hide Secure Folder

To open the secure folder go back into the Secure Folder settings and there will be a blue icon on the bottom right you can click on to open the folder.

Hey, If you have updated you get an option to easily hide and show the secure folder from the notification panel. If you do not have this option have a look in the extra quick action setting I find it very good as I simply have to click it to hide it so if I lend someone my phone just quickly hid it no worries hope you find this helpful.

In Nova you have to get paid version to hide Apps

in Apex it in the Free version and can hide Apps ;)
I originally did not pay for Nova for features, I paid for it to support the developer. Now that I have it, I enjoy the features. I encourage the use of launchers for customization and the biggest reason is no matter what brand phone you get, just put your launcher on it and you are in familiar territory. Which launcher is probably a personal choice, I love Nova and wouldn't be without it.

Which Carrier do you have? My N7 with At&t doesn't have that option to add secure folder.

On Verizon I have to go to settings, lockscreen and security and then secure folders to activate it.

Tmo got the option to hide Secure Folder. Secure Folder is basically an iteration of Samsung's MyKnox app designed for personal use instead of the 'work setting' environment.
