charging port on note 7

Is the port more fragile on this phone, with how it's made or something?
It may not be called port, lol.

My att sales lady is pushing the charger, you lay phone on to charge it. Didn't ask if it was wired or wireless. She says to save port.
I know she is just trying to sell it, but got me to wondering about it.

She says they don't know if ear phones are in box or not.

No, the charging port isn't any more likely to fail on this phone than any other. You can opt to use a wireless charger but it will greatly increase the amount of time it takes to charge your device.
