So, I just picked up my phone from AT&T. Arrived home, and was getting out of the car with my phone in my cargo pants pocket, when I leaned against the door frame and heard a crack. I almost passed out when I realized that the back glass panel of my phone cracked in the corner and spider webbed from there. The phone works fine, but I JUST bought it!!! Shattered resistant my butt!
Should have not left without a case! I ordered a supcase the day I ordered the Note 7 and as soon as UPS came and I put my SIMcard in I put the case on! Today I wanted a thicker, more protective case and went and bought the Tech21 Evo tactical XT. No way I would ever carry these smartphones without heavy duty protection.

Wow! That sucks! I'm glad you had the insurance!

I cannot understand, for the life of me, why Samsung would choose to put glass on the back of the phone and double the surface area of such a fragile material!

Quick primer of AT&T Mobile Protection, your deductible starts at $200, and declines 25% after 6 months with no claim and 50% after a year with no claims.

OP, when you do go to file, be sure you say that you broke the phone within the last 30 days, or you have to jump through a bunch of hoops. Sorry about the damage Bud.

Saw this a couple of hours ago, and it shows something similar to what the OP experienced. Sucks what happened, but good to know you won't need to shell out the 2 bills for the replacement.
