One thing I hate Samsung did was to remove the "timer " from the front camera and placed it under the settings, it was so easy to just select the timer right from the front screen, now you gotta go into the camera settings and change from there

Damn, hadn't noticed! I guess I use the 'hold hand in front of camera' or voice commands more often so I haven't used the timer in a while, but yeah, that does suck.

Well, if you use voice control you can already see yourself in the picture before it takes it, and if you use the 'hold out hand' method it does start a quick timer before it actually takes the picture.

I know but sometimes you need to be silent for a selfie !!! Like at the Synagogue

'hold out hand' is silent... or you can use the heart rate sensor, too. But I agree, the timer should be in the main screen, even though they have alternatives.

Yup (and a cool one to show off, too :p). Just activate GESTURE CONTROL in 'Ways to take pictures'. Now hold out your hand in front of the camera when you're ready, a little timer will show up to give you time to lower your hand, and CLICK!

I've only gotten it to work on the front camera and you do have to be a little away from it so your hand fits in the frame without taking the entire screen, but it works.
