Wireless Charging pad in GM vehicles

Information for those who have GM vehicles with the wireless charging pad.
After I got my new Note 7 I tested it to see if it would work as my Note 4 did with the wireless charging pad in my 16 Escalade. It didn't, I was disappointed. I found the solution from the S7 and S7 edge forums. The solution is to have the bottom of you Note 7 hang over the bottom of the wireless charging pad area, about a quarter inch and it will do the wireless charge, even with the phone in a Spigen case.

I have a 2015 Caddy ATS with the wireless charging in the bay behind the AC controls - it works perfectly with the S7 but anything bigger (like the S7 Edge or any of the Notes) is too large and won't fit or function - sad
