Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall: Everything you need to know | Android Central ---- This has the whole "full story" if you need it. Below I will list (so far) what each carrier said they're doing to resolve the issue.

[warn]Mod Note: Before I list the carrier thing below we want everyone posting here to follow P.U.P.P.A.H which can be found in the rules here. We understand this is a high stress situation for everyone involved as no one enjoys having to recall their phone. Please ensure to be professional and let's not go down the road of insulting or being rude to one another. Instead let's help each other out through this process.[/warn]

What do I do if my phone has been recalled?
  • T-Mobile is letting customers return their Note 7 in any store for a full refund of the purchase price and any accessories you may have bought. You'll then be given the choice of buying another phone or receiving a new Note 7 when they are put on sale again, if you wish.
  • Sprint says that customers can return their Note 7 to any of its stores, and will be given a "comparable device" to use in the meantime.
  • Verizon says it has stopped selling the Galaxy Note 7 and "through September 30, 2016, Verizon is waiving the restocking fee for any customers who purchased a Galaxy Note7 and wish to return or exchange it." Thanks, Verizon. Pre-Order from Verizon: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...rizon-preorders-start-tomorrow&token=d0dVAFx4
  • AT&T has released a statement saying that it ... hasn't yet decided how to handle the recall process. We should know more soon.
  • U.S. Cellular has not yet announced its plans for handling the recall, but we assume will offer similar services to the others.
  • In Canada, TELUS has said it will voluntarily recall its customers' Galaxy Note 7: "Consistent with TELUS' policy of putting customers first, and because our customers' safety is an absolute priority, we have suspended sales of the device across all TELUS corporate, dealer and retail locations, as well as online. We are working closely with Samsung to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible for our customers."
  • In the UK, Samsung halted sales before the Note 7's street date of September 2. Some British networks were running promotional deals where pre-order customers could get devices early, and so some are already in the wild and will need to be replaced. For more information, Samsung directs UK customers to its customer service line at 0330 7261000.
  • Carphone Warehouse gets a £25 credit to their account.

Samsung Note 7 Recall Statement

Samsung has issued a statement, and carriers will be issuing statements as well. We will update this thread as information comes in.

"[Statement] Samsung Will Replace Current Note 7 with New One

September 02, 2016

Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously. In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a battery cell issue.

To date (as of September 1) there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7.

For customers who already have Galaxy Note7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks.

We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible."

From said link:
'Starting immediately, customers who are concerned about using the Note 7 can return the device to T-Mobile for a full, complete refund. They’ll get a full refund of anything paid for the device and any Note7 accessories. We’ll waive any restocking charges and shipping fees, and customers can keep the free Netflix subscription they received with purchase during pre-order.'
