Not sure this has been addressed on this board. Do any of you share my concern about quality control on the replacements? Samusung is going to really have to hustle to address this and I wonder if there will be other non battery issues.

Giving serious thought to go back to my Note 5 and looking at the Note 7 later. The only other phone I would consider now is the S7E

I do share your quality control concerns. Samsung proudly came out ahead of the curve and now it is behind the curve. It has a lot of catching up to do at this point. I do plan on sticking with the Note 7 though I will probably wait closer to the end of the month to swap for a new one.

I don't worry about it at all. They don't have to hustle. The parts have been made long ago. The batteries were made again by a company that makes batteries all day.

When phones are made, they are in your hand usually 10 days or less.

Also several companies take your order, make the phone and you have it 72 hours later.

Count me as not worried. First of all, as far as we know, the issue is not a quality control one from Samsung but from the company that makes the batteries. My guess is Samsung gets them from the supplier with the assumption that proper QC has been done on them, and they don't do too much checking over what has already been done. Also, as already stated, I don't think they have any real reason to "hurry", and if anything with having the recall in the first place, they may even do some extra QC checks to make sure they don't have to replace those too.

No concerns. Samsung learned their lesson already.

I've had four Samsung phones in the past and two of them were lemons (both Note 3's), so I am honestly now reconsidering waiting for this phone to re-released. I've played with one and it was just gorgeous but my track record with Samsung has been less than stellar. I may well just bypass this one and get a different phone from a different manufacturer. However, the gorgeous blue colour and the edge display are what drew me to the Note 7 in the first place and nothing anyone else has, not even the S7 edge, comes close to being as pretty or as feature-rich (for me) as the Note 7, in my opinion.

Samsung batteries has been a concern for since the battery in my S4 swelled up while being charged. It was replaced under warranty, but after a months use(say 24 recharges)the second battery also had to be replaced. The 3rd one has been fine (66% failure)

In my S6 that replaced the S4 on upgrade, I can feel it heating up while being charged and used for web browsing at the same time . Battery widget monitor has recorded at all time high of 40 degrees C.

Yes I am concerned about QA

I use samsung chargers and cables exclusively
