I think a lot of the "bans" and the enforcement will fade with time, and with fresh product.
Just have to hope one doesn't 'blow up a plane' (translation from click bait: catch fire on a plane). If that happens the negative stigma would probably persist for a while.

90% of the world doesn't know what the Note 7 is. And fewer will know as the days go on past the resolution. I follow this stuff pretty closely, and I couldn't tell you what day the newest iPhone comes out (today?) or what the model designation was on the last one...6..6s...6s pro? I don't do it for a living, and I have other things in my life that take up space in my significantly limited brain... (fantasy football, etc). The vast majority of people are even more casual about it than I am... my sister in law has a s7 edge, and when I asked her about it, she didn't know if it was a 6 edge or 7.."an edge something". I would imagine that is closer to typical.

Shhh! Logic does not help the hysteria bandwagon. The media will give you "7" demerits
The idea here was never to create hysteria, but to just voice a wondering. One that I still wonder. The battery icon is an idea, but is it one that can't just be copied... eletronically disabling them, if possible, might actually be the only choice here if people won't listen and do what the company is asking.

Regardless, it's a rough spot for sure and I just want my dang phone back! I have the S7 Edge and it just ain't the same...

after a person xiaomi phone also 'blew up', i think this battery case could get more serious attention,

First statement, I know nothing more than anyone else. This is pure speculation.

Standard recall process, product gets recalled, product is fixed, product is rolled back out, right? That makes sense... But there's a logical flaw here. The Galaxy Note 7 is getting BANNED from places like certain airlines or air travel in countries. This is a fact. When you get your new Note 7, it will have a S sticker on the box telling you it is fixed... So... How does Jim from Delta Airlines who is checking you in know that YOUR Note 7 is indeed a fixed one and not just one you held over?

This just actually popped in my head. I WANT a Note 7 back and was a preorder-er of the phone and took it back the first Monday after recall and am unhappy as the rest of us... but... Is it possible with what's happening around the world?

    What do you guys think?
    Yes it is
