Does anyone know what temperature is the maximum your battery can handle before it becomes dangerous and explodes?

Not sure...my note 7 in the new VR showed it was at 105° while using it. That was the first time I'd ever used the VR-want sure if that was normal. Got that hot each time I used them together. 2 days later, we had the recall issue. I was feeling pretty darn lucky my phone didn't catch a blaze while on my face getting up to that temp!

I was able to get ahold of Samsung technical people and here is what they had to say.

    1. Turn in your old Note 7 and get a new one as soon as possible.

    2. Some additional comments:
    a. Turn off fast charging.
    b. Turn off phone at night.
    c. I asked about a battery widget to monitor battery temperature, they had no problem with this but would not tell me the temperature that the battery would become dangerous.
