Did the exchange outlet wipe the onld N7 phone clean?

Title pretty much says it all. From Samsung pay to contacts to a password lock app I've got a lot on my phone that I don't want on the phone after the data was copied to the new N7. Did the outlet do a factory reset or something to clean all the old dat/files?

Yeah you should do that before you exchange the phone
I did all of that at Best Buy before I gave my old Note 7 to the Best Buy guy
