New Note 7: Wifi Issues

Hi I received my brand new Note 7 after the recall and it seems that my wifi is much slower than before with my old Note 4 or Pre-recall Note 7. I normally would get 240mbps down and 24mbps up now I am get 96mbps down and 24mbps up. I also find that sometimes it doesn't give me internet at times as well. Same router, nothing has changed other than my device.

Anyone else having wifi issues?

I have WiFi issues too. Sometimes it doesnt seem to like to connect up to the 5Ghz freq too well. The battery also seems to drain a lot faster too.

My WiFi AP has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios, each with different SSIDs. I noticed that my replacement N7 seems to favor the 2.4GHz one in that it "sees" and connect to the 2.4GHz radio more easily. I may solve that by "forgetting" the 2.4GHz SSID and leaving only the 5GHz one in my list.

That is what I did but it takes a while to get it to connect to the 5Ghz. Before it would connect up while in the drive way. Now its long after I have entered the house before it ever connects.
