battery spec's - old versus new

What are the official battery specifications of the old, and replacement ?

True, but the physical size of the battery is a fraction smaller to fit inside the battery compartment properly. This was the cause of the fires. Unbelievable oversight, how do you manage to neglect that the battery is a really tight squeeze inside the phone, causing excess pressure on the battery?

Maybe just the bad ones were out of spec. They didn't redesign the battery. They just went all in on the other vendor, which was already designed for the Note7. No reason and no time to change it.

...you got it. That's what happens when you trust some one (in this case, one of three suppliers) to do a job and truly count on them... and they let you down in the BIGGEST possible way!
