My Note 7 is fine. Will keep until they force me off. Best device ever. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Samsung needs to figure out what changed with their battery procurement and production process. Billions down the drain.
I don't think it will be long before they start shutting off the devices...

At this point - I wouldn't be surprised to see the carriers start blocking the IMEIs soon in order to force customers to bring them in...

I was on the fence until I saw the Samsung press release... I'm done - checked with ATT store and they're going to do full return and I'll be looking either at the pixel, OP3, or simply waiting for awhile... The s7e wasn't a good fit, and I've had previous problems with LG ... I loathe Apple...

Now that Samsung is on the bad list.. the list is getting sparse ..

Hey does the issue only affects the 64GB version?

Because, according to this report, it does.

I'm keeping mine till it either explodes or gets shut off with an update. Will be forced into the LG V20 then I guess. Since no other phone comes close to the 7. The Pixel XL looks too much like an Iphone on front so thats out.

Pixel XL or iPhone 7+. May as well get the device that's directly supported by the company that makes it. That's really important (security, features, longevity).

I bailed on the Note 7 and went 7+. Also have a Pixel XL on order. I'm good for next 3 or so years. Cheaper in the long run IMO since with Android devices we are always lunging at the next best thing.

V20 looks neat but it will surely go largely unsupported after like a year. Nah. Done with OEMs.

The USER difference between the note 4 and the note 7 is NEGLIGIBLE ... If you use your phone to run benchmarks , then yes you'll love the 7 more ( but no one actually DOES that , they don't MAKE the phones for you to run benchmarks all day ) ...
Have you used both phones to say this?

I remember when people had problems with their phones, that was the first accusation. Now it's charging cables.
Oh! Well! Thank Goodness there is something to blame it on... Seriously, though... it would *seem* to me that one culprit would be physical damage that you can't readily see. Phones get dropped... all. the. time. Guess it's time for a new battery technology... zero point energy channeling, perhaps! LOL

Yes, that was the result of the investigation that led to the recall. They have so far been silent on replacement devices.

I am running the Custom Note 7 port.

So while I may not have an official Note 7, I get to enjoy most of the cool software enhancements which this phone is more than capable of running.

I get better battery life running the enhanced software with more features versus that garbage they left stock Note 4's on.

The Note 4 was one of the worst treated "flagship" devices of its time. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
Thank goodness for the extended support from the community.

Does the s7 edge use wireless charging? I don't know much about the the s7 edge is that the edge is way more pronounced than the N7 and I don't like that. ๐Ÿ˜•

The only thing Samsung has impressed me with so far is their ability to make a bad situation worse.
What do you expect them to do?
Amy scenario would have been bad according to your blanket statement. (Inappropriate language removed by moderator moderator)happens.

Sad but maybe true. The V20 though:

    Bigger than N7

    40% less battery life

    Grainy low light pics

    Weaker display

    No pen

    No dust or water resistance

No hardware display scaling. Huge loss.

Navigation bar taking 15% of display space for a lot of apps.

Seems a big let down. If priced similar to the Note 7, a big slap to the face as well.

Could care less about the DACs. Note 7 sounds fantastic and have no desire to use a battery draining powered DAC to push high impedance headphones. My Grados are just fine at the house with me home system.

Pixel ain't happening since no SD slot and same space hogging navigation bar. Ditto on the 7E, since half the internal storage and I do not like the even sharper edge than the Note 7. Distorts video and too easy to touch with games.

My MXPE I gave gave to my son IMO is better than any of those. Even prefer my Note 4.

Carriers halting sales and exchanges and Samsung asking users to stop using the phone is about as legit as it gets.
