Could Not Display The Book

Using Play Books I had downloaded a book and had read some of it. All of a sudden I am getting amessage that says "could not display book". Other books work ok.

What to do?

How do I remove the book and download again?

Hi,

Try this,

1. Go to your device's main Settings menu.
2. Select Apps (on some devices, this may be under "Device").
3. Swipe to view All apps.
4. Select Google Play Books app Google Play Books.
5. Touch Clear data.
6. Open Google Play Books app Google Play Books and sign in.

Now it will work...

This seems to be the rote answer, going back for a few years... Of course, I did as instructed, and once I got everything rebooted and loaded again, I went to open my book and immediately got the same error: "Couldn't display the book." Only now, I get it for all my books, not just the new one I was originally trying to open.

Now what?
