S pen question

I got a Motion Computing digitizer pen for free from work and it works with my Note 8.0 but when I hold the pen the way I hold a real pen the "dot" is not centered under the tip but a little off to the right. With the tablets pen it is lined up perfectly. The small OEM s pen is just that, small. It doesn't feel right in my huge mitts. Is there any way to calibrate an after market s pen on the Note 8.0?
