Google Messages RCS chat not working.

Has anyone had issues with the RCS features on Google Messages? It worked perfectly fine on this Verizon Note 8 until a few weeks ago. Now, the status never shows Connected, it's stuck on Setting Up. I've forced stopped and cleared the cache and storage of Messages and Carrier Services numerous times. I've deleted and re-installed both apps multiple times, but nothing fixes the issue.

Does your phone number show up when you are looking at your phone details. Sometimes if the phone number isn't there it doesn't work. Other than that what you have done is how I force it onto phones.

Just clear data,cache,force stop message app , do all 3 steps. If same wait about 24 hrs

Yes, my phone number shows up. It's just an odd situation.

Thanks, I will try those steps again. I wouldn't mind if the RCS features worked with Samsung Messages instead, but that's also not the case.

Do you happen to have an ad blocker on your phone?

I'm using Avast Mobile security, but I didn't opt for the ad blocking service

Maybe try turning that off or uninstall to test
