Question about pre-ordering the Note 8

Can someone explain why after ordering my Note 8 from Best Buy, they stated in an email that it would be delivered Friday Sept 15th. But if you look at Verizon website the are saying pre-order and get phone Thursday Sept 14th. Why or how can Verizon get it to you a day earlier then Best Buy can?

And is the phone really supposed to be delivered to people on the 14th Sept?
