From the length of the tail, which you can't see in this photo. A long, "dragon" like tail means it's male. A short tail is female.gernerttl, Just curious, how can you tell?

You can't really tell until it is an adult, which is at about 20 years. Hawaiian green sea turtles live to over 100 years.
