Is that an iceberg out in the water in that second-to-last picture, mgbosshogg?
Haha, it's The Bass Rock. The biggest gannet colony in the world, hence why it's white. .
It's also believed to be part of the Extinct volcano in Edinburgh, Arthur's Seat. The same as the rock I was standing on to take the picture.

In my bridge picture above you can just make out a little hill to the right. It's called North Berwick Law and today we all climbed it. ( My sister's house sits right at the bottom of it )

( Don't think I ever took my note 8 up there, so don't have any comparison, the 9 seems to handle sky's a lot better though )View attachment 290192View attachment 290193View attachment 290194View attachment 290195

It's been repopulated since Luke died.. I know, different location but I couldn't resist.

Great contrast shot.

Finally... camping trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire this past week with Patti. We drove up Monday 10/1 through pouring rain but the rain stopped as we drove into the campground and registered. We got to our riverfront campsite, got the jacks down, hooked up the electricity, water and cable, put the awning out just enough to cover the rear steps and it started to pour again! It rained through the night, all day Tuesday and through Tuesday night... so much that we woke up Wednesday morning to the sound of rapids! Don't get me wrong - the camp site was on really high ground and the sound was awesome! The sun was also out!!! Anyway... here's the shots:

On the rock, center, a Blue Herron, who ate all the trout in the campgrounds pond and stream - now he's working the river!
