2 day old uk note 8 weather app not showing my correct location

My 2 day old note 8 uk on ee stock weather app on home screen says i live in a different town to where i live.its set on high accuracy etc etc.my note 4 says my exat location.this is pissing me off .ive done the update and still wrong location. If i go to maps it finds my location. But the weather app will not.it says i live in a town miles away.do i need to return this phone for another?

Could it be a setting in the app that you don't have set quite right? You've tried refreshing the app to see if another location shows?

I tried every single setting possible. I've reset the phone 10 times

Does the app have different weather sources? If so, can you try another and see if that makes a difference?

I'm talking about the build in weather app on the note 8 home screen

That I'm not sure of. That's one reason I use a third party app. It always has a weather source that is right where I live.

So is my new phone broken.do I need to get it exchanged.

I'm not paying this much for a faulty note 8

Same issue with my app. It displays the city next to mine.

It's Accuweather? It's never right. In my experience anyway.

It works perfect on my s8 plus my s7 edge my note 4 and my note 5 only the crappy note wont work.so do I exchange for a new phone.

I wouldn't. There has to be a fix, I'm just not sure what it is. Hopefully one of the gurus will be along soon to assist.

I mean it's up to you as far as a replacement. But a new issue could arise with that one and then you might have to keep exchanging. This issue might be annoying, but I think it can be fixed.

Hopefully someone knows how to fix this .

Google maps works so its not a hardware issue.imo all uk note 8 have this issue.

Doubt it is the phone itself, did you try to get a location fix in maps to see if it can do correct location

Maps gets my location easily.this is not what im talking about.im saying the note 8 built in weather app gets the completely wrong location

Hopefully there will be a note 8 expert come to join this thread soon

Please somebody must have some knowledge about the note that can fix this issue for us

I wish there was a way to tag someone so that they'd see this. I don't think there is.
