Bluetooth Drain

Ok so I posted this on another site trying to figure this out but I'm still at a loss so hopefully someone over here has another suggestion.

Originally I thought it was my s3 frontier draining my battery alone (which it does drain it) but today I didn't use it and I only used my blue tooth headset. Does Bluetooth really just destroy your battery in a noticeable way? With it turnt off I'm getting through the day and than some. I'll attached a example of only 8 hours on battery with Bluetooth on, than I posted a all day without. Not sure any other info is needed.

Not at all. I changed the motion wallpaper to a different theme which changed the keyboard. Installed a handful of play store apps and that's about it.

No Bluetooth problem here. It is connected all day to my Samsung Gear Fit 2. I also connect to my car and a bluetooth speaker randomly throughout the day. Battery performance is great.

How long are you getting? What's pissing me off even more is my wife is getting 11 hours of battery which isn't anything to write home about but thats at 5hr 30min SOT whereas I'm 3 SOT. She does not put the phone down. I'm over here at 20% after 8 hrs .

Sounds like an app issue and maybe not a Bluetooth issue

So an app might be piggybacking on blue tooth and going crazy doing something with Bluetooth that's sucking up battery life? Probably over kill but I attached what apps I have, I'll consider uninstalling than slowly adding back. Tho taking one day pet app will take some time. Is there any way other than the battery settings to see what may be using the Bluetooth?

Thanks for chiming in. Are you a heavy user? Are you also using a S3 watch? I got a new phone two days ago but I've been using it for ride sharing apps all day. Tomorrow will be my first day with just the new Phone and the watch and I'll see how far I get.

Definitely a heavy user.. But no i dont have a watch yet... Please post back with your experience

Update. The 1st two pictures are from 10/8 without bluetooth, the 2nd two are from 10/9 without bluetooth, and the final two are 10/11 with Bluetooth on. I still am.not getting a day out of the phone anymore(I would get 1 day 2 hours, 1 day 4 hours etc. , but it's a bit better I think. If I could get a average of 18-20 hours I'd be satisfied with the happy middle. I just enjoyed being able to go to sleep , wake up not worrying about if I forgot to charge snd meep going.

I think its also going to depend on where you start the brightness at.. That pic is no Bluetooth

I try to keep brightness on 40-50% in the notification window though it is on auto brightness in settings. What's your on? How many did your phone last? I'd love to get 7 hours , is that your usual? Honestly 6 would be good.
I'd say my brightness is probably around 30 to 40% on avg. Of course it brightens when I'm watching twitch, YouTube or any video. You asked how many hours did it last.. Thats not really going to matter because its all about screen on time. Whether if you spread that use of screen on time in 10 hrs or 20 hrs of battery life. But i feel the minimum should be 5 hrs 30 mins to 7hrs or more. I've been at 7hrs and still had 25% to go. I'm not really sure whats going on when I can get more than 7hrs...but on avg my minimum is 6 hrs. Sometimes dipping to 5hrs 45mins. I have 3 email accounts setup.. But only 1 actually syncs. I used the disabler app just to disable 2 tmobile apps and anything related to vr, since I'm never using that. So i dont think any of my tweaks actually made a difference. So between 6 to 7 is my usual.

So look at this one 76% left and I'm at 2hrs of screen time.. So thats good because I think I'll be at 50% with over 4hrs of screen time

Here's mine. Not sure what I'm doing wrong still. I do have bluetooth on but even on a day where it was off it didn't do much difference. I removed fb messenger from my phone as well because I heard that drains your battery. Here's what I have turned on in notifications as well. I appreciate your help.
I'm not sure what's going on with your attachments because it just links me to other forums on android central.

I have my Bluetooth on always but i only actually use it when I'm in the car. If i were you, I'd do a factory reset.. Dont install anything and see if you get a minimum of 5.5 hrs. Then start installing apps after you check your battery life.. Dont do a restore from a samsung or Google back. Install everything manually. If none of that works and depending on when you got the phone I'd return it.. Or call samsung. I think 4hrs or 4.5 is unacceptable

Not sure why but on my phone it keeps telling me something about spam when I try to attach pics now. Here's what I was trying to show you. It's the best I've gotten yet but I was on 2% . I'll try and do the factory reset tonight. How long should I wait until I put apps back on? Two days? Should I not even sync my watch and bluetooth earphones up yet?

Looks to me the display is draining your battery faster than anything. Try lowering your brightness, video display, or don't use a bright background
