Android Central Question
I've read the reviews on my new Note 8, (e.g. from displaymate.com) and they say that display modes that Samsung provides (i.e. Adaptive Display, Photo, Cinema) are calibrated to wide-gamut (DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, etc).
The question is - how do I utilize them on my phone? So far as I know Android has zero awareness of color management, so it assumes all images are sRGB. Camera shoots sRGB jpegs too.
I know there are some HDR videos on youtube that are supposed to have wide color gamut, can the built-in Youtube app display the wide gamut if I put the screen in "Cinema" mode?
