Is it ok to using 70% rubbing alcohol sprayed on the microfiber (nickel size) and start cleaning the glass of your phone? Will it damage anything?

Thanks

I use these: https://smile.amazon.com/Zeiss-Pre-...d=1508046979&sr=8-1&keywords=carl+zeiss+wipes

But @chazglenn3 is right. Probably will remove the oleophobic coating over time. Meh. I don't keep a phone long enough to worry about that. I keep them about a year.

The wipes they sell are overprice, hence I use rubbing alcohol. The cleaning wipes usually consist of rubbing alcohol, just the mixture they diluted it so it can become lighter.

I am curious of how many actually uses rubbing alcohol.

Not sure about it removing the coating.

Thanks for the reply.

A microfiber cloth is all you need, unless you've dropped your phone in mud or something I guess. What have you done to your phone?

Just cleaned it, like I always do, no problems, keep it simple. Eyeglass, sunglass cleaner, sprayed on microfiber, clean Note 8 glass and Spigen case. Nothing to it. Not a big deal at all. 😊

I use screen cleaner wipes if the screen gets too smudged up. Once a month or so I use cotton balls and rubbing alcohol to kill bacteria.
I've read online somewhere that using Rain X works for both cleaning and keeping the screen fingerprint free. I tried it a couple of times in the past, and it did seem to work. I was always worried about using it though, so I stopped.
