Notification sounds for work email

I use the stock email app for work (Microsoft Exchange). It has Letter as a default notification. Ive attempted to change it several times and pick the choice but it stays on Letter.

I'm on Nova Launcher and have permissions on. Ive gone through the email app itself and through sound notification settings ok n the main menu, to no avail.

Is the notification tone you're trying to use stored on internal storage, or an mSD card. If it's on the mSD, try moving it to the notifications folder on internal storage, then reselect it.

I had the same issue on my s8+. That resolved it.

I don't use an SD card and Letter is the one it's "stuck " on. I try to change it to z edge tones I like and it never takes. Zedge tones work on messages etc
